Well I am working on this newest project and I am afraid that the flowers don't stand out enough. I am trying to decide if I should take them out and re-hook them in a different color that might show up more. What do you think? I thought I might be able to outline it somehow. Maybe with a very thin strip of a dark color. I still need to put the centers in two of the flowers. Not sure what color they should be. I am usually not this indecisive. I am so happy for a day off tomorrow. I hope you have a happy weekend!
Hi Lisa - i saw your comment over on Cathy's blog and had to come check out the "new hookers" rug. You are doing a great job. I now how hard it is to get started when you are a lone hooker out there - I will encourage you to find a group to hook with if you can - heck I travel 2 1/2 hours one way when i can to hook with a great group of girls. Also what I did was pour thru rug hooking books for ideas and close-ups to see how things worked in a rug.
ReplyDeleteAbout your flowers - what I would do is take some different wools of the same value - maybe mix in some textured wool - it will give your flowers a little "lift" and definition. You say the color doesn't show up - I think it shows up in the pic - but that could be the camera!
