Random Thoughts

Well, all 40 circles are sewn. It didn't take long at all. I am happily surprised. I was planning to paint the frame with a black paint and frame the piece and that was that. Now I think it needs something, maybe a saying on top or something. So I will continue to look at it on and off and see what inspires me.
I got this lovely wool at a thrift store a couple weeks ago and thought it would make a cute stuffed pumpkin. Now I am wondering if I should make a penny rug out of it. Do you think it would be too busy? I thought I could use mostly black and just use this as the scallops on the ends and maybe an inset piece on the top. SOooooo one more thing to think about. I always do this.

I am excited about working on my new pattern by Whimsicals. I posted about it on Wed. I thought I would show you the last pattern I did of hers. I messed up on the letters when I made this years ago. I didn't reverse the letters before I ironed on the fusible web and I had used up almost all the material soooo I just made do with them. You might not have noticed but I let the cat out of the bag anyway. I am still happy with this little wall hanging. I took it down to put a fall one up. Just thought I would have alittle show and tell.

I hope whatever you are doing, you are having fun. Goodnite

Some flowers bloomed last night

Some of you might have seen the new pattern that I got yesterday. I was having a hard time deciding which one to do first. I finally decided to just pick something right away and get something done tonight. So this is what I got done last night. I just have to sew around the 40 little circles. I thought that I might start to make one for me and make another one to try to sell. I got to thinking that most of the time I buy alot more fabric for a project than I need. I thought that I would be able to make two of these basket blocks out of the scraps of wool that I bought yesterday. I am not sure if I could sell one or not but I thought it might be fun to try. I don't know much about etsy. I need to look into it and see how that works. I have so much in my stash and collections that I think it would be fun to make some extra money to start paying off some bills. I was reading an interesting post the other day. She buys things at the thrift stores etc. and sells them on ebay and makes out pretty well. I find alot of neat things at the thrift stores and I am starting to run out of walls to decorate. lol. Maybe I should try this selling thing. Does anyone do this? I could use some info. Hope everyone is having a great night.

Today was my trip to Berlin, Ohio. It takes us about an hour to get there from my place. I can't believe what a beautiful day it was. The weather couldn't have been nicer.
The Quilt shops had a ton of inspiration...just what I was expecting. We visited I think four different quilt shops but my fav was The Country Craft Cupboard. I found some scraps of wool and a very cute pattern. I am excited to work on everything....

I have been eyeing this pattern for a while now. I just love her designs. I saw the pattern and then realized that I already had a book done by Teri. Small world huh.

I also have been wanting to try this lil twister thingy. I kept telling myself I didn't need the pattern...I could figure it out...but I have never fiddled with it...soooo I got it.
I think this will make an easy and great baby quilt for my friend at work. Has anyone tried this?

Last but not least, I just loved this bundle of wool. Such pretty fall colors. So many ideas...Where to start..... Wish me luck.

A fun day planned tomorrow.

Tomorrow is my day off and hopfully will be an exciting day. My mom and two of her friends and I are going to Berlin Ohio. There is a wonderful shop there that I love to visit. It is called the Country Craft Cupboard. It is filled to the brim with samples of the patterns that they sell. I love to see the projects in real life. They have a wonderful wool section. I am hoping that when I leave that store I will be filled to the brim with inspiration. lol I don't doubt that I will be filled but I don't know if it will help me accomplish anything though.

I usually try to make a game plan before I visit this shop. I tend to get easily side tracked and then I can't make up my mind on what I should purchase. I really shouldn't buy anything. I have so much already. Maybe I will be good next visit. lol.

I think I will focus on patterns. I have plenty of fabric and wool. I need to have a plan on how to use up some of my stash.

I am excited about taking some pictures of the fall beauty that seems to be unfolding in my neck of the woods. Hope to have some exciting tales to tell tomorrow night. I hope you have some also. Good night.

Looks Like I will be making a Baby Quilt

Just found out that a lady that I work with is going to have another baby. Her oldest daughter just got married this past summer and her youngest child is 10 and she is a couple months pregnant. I would have been alittle freaked out but she seemed very happy. I am glad for her. I haven't decided if I will wait til she finds out if it is a boy or girl or if I will just make a quilt for either sex and just start now. I am known as a bit of a procrastinator so who knows.

I can't believe the difference in the fall color just over the last 3 days. There is beauty all over the place. God is good. Have a great night everyone.

Need Tech Support

Okay all you wonderful bloggers. I have a question for you. I have visited a number of great blogs and one thing I would love to incorporate into my little site is this....To have a picture on my sidebar and if you click on it it would take you to a post about the item in the pic. I love on http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ and www.behindmyreddoor.com/ they have this feature. Anyway, does anyone know how to set that up? Is there a way to have a slide show with picasa? I know that is a separate issue but that is something else I would like to have. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Have a great week.
