I was able to finish the edge of the Fall Rug the other day. Finally got around to taking a picture I am happy with the way it turned out. I tried the finishing technique that I learned on a tutorial on
http://shabbysheep.blogspot.com . I think it would have turned out better if I wasn't rushing. None the less it is finished and I am already thinking of two new adventures. I am hoping to get my new frame the beginning of next week.

I also took a picture of my Friday Night Sew in project that I finished quite some time ago. I still don't know where I am going to hang it in my home. I might just settle for letting it hang on the side of basket til I can think of a good spot.

This is a trash find from a lonnnnggg time ago. I had always planned on painting it but never got around to it. You know how that goes, right? Well I got it painted then I thought it would look neat to have a mane and tail so I got out my rug hooking strips that I had cut up already and voila a cute little horsey. I think it might look cool if I made a rug that looks like a blanket and put it on the seat. I know I have seen pics with rocking horses before and thought they looked cool. Unfortunately, right now I can't think of how to decorate my house with one. lol. I had always planned on sitting it out on my front porch. Who knows. If I find a cute spot for it I will take an after pic.
I like the fall hooked rug! Wish I could see a close-up to see the finished edge!!
ReplyDeleteDid you whip the edge with wool strips? Love the rocking horse. One day it will tell you where it wants to be. :)
