My Favorite Collections

I thought I would link with http://primitivedevotion.blogspot.com and list some of my favorite collections. It is hard to narrow them down. One of my newest loves is these white pitchers. I have them all over my home. I thought about grouping them all together, but since I was cleaning up my home today I didn't want to make a mess. So I am just going to post a few.
I also have a thing for old ladders. I took a picture of a ladder and one of my other collections...Baskets....I counted and I have six ladders just in the living room alone.
Just realized that I should have cropped out the tv screen. It is very distracting. Anyway...
Here is one of the other ladders in our living room.

Old spools and the like are another collection. I never seem to have too many. lol

I am not sure exactly what these are spools, bobbins...I just know I like them.

Swans are one of my newer collections. I just think they are so pretty.

This one I found on monday at the thrift store. It is my largest swan, probably 12" long. I was so happy that I looked over the spot that it was in again, I missed it the first time thru. It was marked $1.00. Woo Who... Jackpot!
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the things that make me smile. Hope you have a great night and that you take time to enjoy the things that make you smile. Lisa

  1. Hi Lisa!

Thanks for joining the challenge! I love your collections. I see that you also love old wooden bobbins & spools. Me too! Not sure why, but I can't resist them. They look especially so nice on your old sewing machine.
I also have a few swans.

It's so much fun to see what others collect and how they display them in their home.

I'm going to make sure to come back and visit you again, so I'll add you to my blog list, if that's okay with you.

    Have a great day!

  2. Hi Lisa,

I really love old ladders and wish I had a couple for my home. I have one old ladder I am using but it is a normal wooden painter's ladder. It is from my mom and dad's house (and used for many years) so it has special meaning. But I sure would like to find one like yours.
