Fall Color, Pumpkins and Time with Larry...Priceless

Larry has to work tonight so he had the afternoon off. Soooo we did some running around. This is a pretty tree infront of a lovely little church. I should have cropped it before I uploaded it, Oh well.

We stopped and got some pumpkins. I can't believe how much I enjoyed this. Really, you would have thought it was Christmas. It probably felt like it was Christmas by the time I made up my mind. There were so many pretty things.

I put a few by my back door.

A few on the other side of the door. I also found a stem that was broken off out in the parking lot. I have a stem now to make a fabric pumpkin.

A few out in the yard. I still have one to put out by the front door. I usually put most decorations out by the front door. However, we don't ever use our front door...so it seems like I never get to see the pretty decorations, so this time I reversed it. I need to rake, cut grass and do some weeding around my decorated areas but I just had to put them out anyway. I have had a very fun day off. I hope you are enjoying your day also.

  1. I'm glad you had a fun day. Its so true about the decorations - I do the same thing. We should enjoy the decorations ourself. The past few years I decorate the back porch more than the front of the house. The only person that comes to the front door is the mailman!

  3. Ooooh- I love those pumpkins, Lisa! Especially the blueish gray one- we had one of those last year and I can't remember for the life of me what it's called...a "luna" maybe? Anyhoo, it sure is pretty!
Do you toast the seeds from those pumpkins when you take the decorations down? I did for the first time last year and they were DELICIOUS!
